A flower gatherer in her beasty-form being watched by a wild uncivilized werewolf.
___________

This is a bit half-assed, I wanted to finish ANY unfinished work I could find in spite of my planned break from art and ended up messing some things up.
I'll probably draw more Slavic-esque werewolves, hopefully they'll be better than this.

For some odd reason, some of the coffee dyed paper I made doesn't absorb watercolor and ink well at all. The result is an ugly mess I can't fix.
______________
Watercolors, ink, acrylic, pencils.
A5 sized.

Despite the fact that you seem rather unpleased with the work, I really like it. The warm colours are very pleasant to the eye, and I adore the slavic-esque feeling to the flower gathering beast's clothes! A soft light on her fur and the rocks gives the piece a feeling of depth compared to the dark background. Still the werewolf pops out between the trees in a scary way - I feel like it would be slightly intimidated by the female, must be the fur that looks like it's up on its neck. A very nice piece, Inku! (:

I really like this! Although the flower-gatherer must have wondered off deep into the woods! There certainly aren't any flowers here, lol!

I'm glad the planned break in your artwork didn't go according to plan! :) There's a wonderful, mystical atmosphere in this scene, and I think the dyed paper really helped create that.

As for the problem you encountered, I think saturating the paper with other substances (like coffee) will leave less room for it to absorb the pigments of ink and paint, so I don't believe this is unusual.
