Frequently Asked Questions

#myBox {

Can I use your art on my site?

Yes, for non-profit pages only.
My only requests are not to crop/resize/alter my works in any way and add © Jenny Schukin anywhere on the page you display my art on.
If you choose to place a link back to my gallery as well I'll be grateful, though it is not necessary :).

For commercial use please contact me so we can discuss specific pieces and their usage.

What tools do you use for your art?

I tend to work with different mediums and various tools, but I mainly use "White Nights" watercolors, pencils and inks in my works. Coffee and tea pigment, pastels, pens and acrylic are also often used.

For digital works I use PS5 and a Wacom tablet.

What paper do you use?

I don't tend to stick to only one brand, but "White Nights" with egg-shell texture is my favorite at the moment.

Do you take commissions?

From time to time. I notify my watchers with a journal entry when I am, and specify my art-status in my DeviantArtID.

Do you take trades/requests?
I'm sorry, but I do not take requests nor do trades anymore.

Where can I see WIPs of your works?
I often post works in progress, sketches and doodles on my FB page here.

Can I use your art as a tattoo?
Although this request is very flattering, some artwork in my gallery are commissioned works or have very personal-meaning to me. Please contact me for the individual piece you're interested in.

Can I ask a question not on the list?

Sure thing! Feel free to contact me either here, on my FB page or by email, Jenny.shukin [at] .

Life-updates, heads-up on commissions

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 14, 2015, 2:02 PM
Greetings dear watchers and web-travelers,

Been over a month since my last update, life has been quite busy.
I'm now working full-time at a designer clothes shop, and along with my programming course (which turned to be quite a mess), I struggle to find the time for anything else. I still try my best to be as productive as possible, especially on weekends.

I had entry exams for Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, which didn't go that well, I think. Should be getting the results soon.
If I don't get in, might as well workworkwork, travel a bit, and try again next year; Or perhaps try other fields of study such as medicine,
which I find almost as interesting as art. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

On a different note, I'm getting better and better at needlefelting, and hope to share some finished works with you soon. Might also put some stuff up for grabs in my Etsy shop!

My plans regarding commissioned work changed this month, and I'll have to postpone the opening date till the end of April, after I'm done with my programming exams and other stuff. I'll be open for 1-2 slots of full illustrations along with a few slots of icons and ACEOs.

Wish you all a pleasant week
